 SDSSA is the state sponsor for all NRA Sanctioned competitive shoots. NRA's Competitive Shooting Division offers a wide range of activities in all types of shooting, for everyone from the novice to the world-class competitor. The NRA sanctions over 11,000 shooting tournaments and sponsors over 50 national championships each year.

 USA Shooting, a 501c3 non-profit corporation was chartered by the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee as the National Governing Body for the Olympic Shooting Sports in April 1995. The organization develops and implements programs to promote growth in the sport and serves as a sanctioning body for local and national competitions.

 SDSSA is the state sponsor for all CMP Events. The mission of the Civilian Marksmanship Program is to promote marksmanship through firearms training, safety, competitions, and youth programs. Our Vision is to lead the nation in marksmanship excellence providing safe, high-quality, and innovative programs with a focus on youth.
